THE GENERAL SOUNDS – Every sound we hear has a name. The moment you hear a certain sound you know its name. We recognize sounds with their names. When you know the name of any sound, you know from where it is coming or how it is made.
THE MUSICAL SOUNDS – When it comes to music, things work bit differently. Music is generally called as sound, but what is the difference with regular sound and the sounds that you hear in Music?… Think of a song, when you hear a melody of that song, you will name the song and the instrument that it is played on. When you remove the lyrics from the song, you are left with melody. How is this Melody created or shaped? This is where you are introduced to something called as Melodic Notes.
MUSICAL SOUNDS – Melodic Notes are sounds in Music. We have 12 Melodic notes. These melodic notes, or sounds, can be produced in multiple ways on variety of instruments. It’s important that you know the names of the Musical Sounds or the Melodic notes. You cannot recognize the name of a musical sounds when you hear them. But when you know the names of these musical sounds, you can produce them with variety of ways.
